Jim repeats as a rider in this year’s JOA, hoping that some fundraising success will make up for his below average riding. Last year’s training plan (the 6-year taper) proved barely adequate, as he arrived at the start line healthy and refreshed. This year he brings a new knee, an uneven pedal stroke and far too few miles in the saddle to the mix. All of that means that we are counting on your donation to shame him across than finish line since we are reasonably sure that his fitness and preparation alone won’t do it. Thanks to each of you for doing your part getting this old man to the beach in Yorktown.
The 3rd Annual Journey of Awesomeness is a 2-day, 200-mile trek from the beautiful city of Charlottesville, VA to Yorktown, VA. All funds raised benefit Charlottesville Abundant Life Ministries, an awesome organization doing awesome things in Charlottesville - more information about CALM can be found here. Last year, we raised over $60,000 and we're excited and grateful for the opportunity to do it again in 2017!
